Grown, not farmed
Banana stems are cut once a year and discarded by the tonne. We take that waste and turn it into leather.
Fibre is stripped from the stem, washed, aligned and pressed into a dense non-woven sheet. It is then tanned without chrome or heavy metals and finished by hand with plant waxes.

- Soft, dense and quiet — closer to a fine calf than to any coated textile.

- Deepens with wear and light, taking on the shape of the person carrying it.
- Chrome free
- Tanned without chromium or heavy metals, so nothing hazardous enters the water.
- Care
- Wipe with a dry cloth. Condition twice a year. We repair every piece for life.

Banana fibre,
reimagined as hide
TATTV leather is a bonded plant textile with the hand of full-grain calf — a soft pull, a dry matte finish, and a grain that deepens rather than cracks. It does not crease into fatigue lines. It patinas.
